Emergency First at Work Courses – HSE approved (HSE EFAW) 18th July 2010



Emergency First at Work Courses - HSE approved (HSE EFAW) will be running August 9th, September 13th, October 11th, November 15th and December 6th.

The course provides training for a first aider to take control of an incident and, within the work place, satisfies the requirements for the Appointed Person role. The EFAW course is the entry level course for all REC (Rescue Emergency Care) training courses and no previous experience is necessary. Course certification is valid for three years although HSE recommend annual refresher training.

EFAW courses at Boulders, operated by Bigfoot Services Limited will have a maximum of 9 candidates. Bigfoot Services Limited has over ten years experience as a training provider in Wales.

Modern, easy to use, training equipment is used on all courses and this includes:

- ResusciAnne Skillguide equipment for real-time CPR performance feedback during training.

- Choking Charlie for practicing procedures to clear blocked airways.

The EFAW course fee is £95 which includes, free parking, morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch, course manual and nationally recognized course certification.

The course commences at 9.30am and finishes at 5.30pm with appropriate breaks during the day.

Private courses can be offered for 6 candidates by prior arrangement.

NGB approved courses (two day Emergency First Aid) for ML, SPA, MTB, BCU, RYA qualifications and HSE FAW (First Aid at Work), a three day course, can be offered by prior arrangement.
