Geckos' Climbing Club (recommended age 10+)
Boulders Indoor Climbing Centre offer Kids' Climbing Clubs to kids aged 10 years or above who are looking to develop their climbing skills.
The Geckos' Climbing Club is for experienced climbers ready to take a step into the world of advanced techniques and lead climbing!
Lead Climbing is where the excitement is notched up a degree and it takes a whole new set of skills to master, but don't worry one of our instructors will be there to guide you through it and ensure you are 100% safe at all times.
Skills you will be learning while having fun in the Geckos' Climbing Club include;
- Lead climbing and lead belaying safely and efficiently
- How to assess the risks of lead climbing
- Rope and equipment care and maintenance
- Effective climbing communication
When you begin the Geckos' kids' club you will already have your
NICAS Level 3 and will be ready for your
NICAS level 4 which you will continue to work towards completing on a week by week basis. Level 4 should take you a bit longer to complete than the
The Spider Monkeys' Club as it's a little more advanced!

What's Next:
Once you have completed your NICAS level 4 and received your certificate it is time to start thinking about joining the advanced climbers in the Junior Project Club! But before you move on you will have to participate in the Geckos' Graduation Day! (fees apply)
The Geckos' graduation day is designed to give you and your parents an insight in to the Junior Project Club where you will be taking part in a wide range of advanced climbing activities. The graduation day will help you prepare for the Junior Project club and ensure you're ready to take the next step!
Boulders recommends children do not progress onto the Junior Project Club until they are aged 11 years or older.

All sessions are conducted by one or more of Boulders' qualified members of staff who have been CRB checked, qualified by the sport's National Award Giving Body, The MLTB(UK) and proficient in climbing coaching.
*Prices for all lessons using the NICAS syllabus do not include the logbooks. These are supplied direct from the not for profit organisation NICAS.
Brothers and sisters too young to join in the fun?!
Don't worry they can play in Pebbles...
Pebbles is Boulders' climbing adventure play area for children from pre-school to 7-years.
Under 7s participating in climbing lessons may play in Pebbles after their lesson.
The cost is £3:50 per child for unlimited play and it's free for an accompanying adult.
