People invited to join the Boulders' Academy will receive climbing coaching from Boulders' top coaches.  It's our way of investing in talented youth, and bringing on the next generation of athletes.  We're always on the look out for new talent, The Crucible and Competition Climbing are the places to shine.  Very often the Academy is the spring board into The Boulders' Climbing Team.  If you're spotted you will be invited to attend Academy selection.

All members of the squad will be encouraged to participate in competition climbing, which means travelling and climbing with the Boulders Climbing Team all round the UK!

Access to the Boulders' Academy and Boulders' Climbing Team is through selection only.  Reviews are conducted three times a year, at the start of academic terms, for re-selection.  Previously being a member of the Academy or Team does not entitle members to automatic qualification at a review point.

There is a nominal fee of £30 per person, per academic term to be a member of Boulders' Academy or Team.  There are 4 Academy squads; Ages 8-10, 11-13 (9 squad members in each), 14-16 and 17+ (12 squad members in each).  The Team consists of up to 12 squad members and is open to people aged 17+.  The Academies and Team are coached once a week, there are 9 coaching sessions in every academic term.  See the coaching dates below for the published training dates.

Due to the competitive nature of the Academy and Team all members and spectators are required to adhere to a sporting and coaching code of conduct:
