Schools and Youth Groups at Boulders

Action outside the typical learning environment is a wonderful way to stimulate, enthuse and motivate youngsters and, with that in mind, boulders has designed  tailored opportunities for schools to bring groups to the Centre to learn to climb.

If you are an External Instructor (ie: Climbing Wall Award qualified or higher) all we need from you prior to bringing a group to the centre is your certificate of qualification, first aid certificate, a copy of your liability insurance and 15 minutes of your time to introduce you to Boulders and our policies of best practice.

In order to make the Centre and the sport as accessible as possible to schools and youth groups in the area who do not have access to external instructors we have tailored a number of packages and options at discounted rates for you.

What we offer ranges from hour-long instructed session for PE lessons and after school clubs, to teaching adults to bring and instruct groups themselves with no hassle and minimum cost.

  • 1 Hour Sessions
  • 1.5 Hour Sessions
  • Structured Achievement Scheme for U16s
  • ½ Day packages and Holiday Activities
  • Discounts for Large Groups
  • Learn to Teach Climbing

There really is something for everyone, giving young people the opportunity to become part of a sport and community which encourages personal development, confidence, self-awareness, fitness and health.

Boulders also runs an annual Inter-Schools climbing competition, from which the senior coach selects youngsters to be invited to join Boulders Youth Climbing Academy, which meets twice weekly and aims to coach U16s to national competition level.

Deposits for booked activities are non refundable 1 week prior to the start of the booked activity (6 days for weekly U18 activities).
